Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed a contract extension worth five seasons and $209 million, his agents confirmed to ESPN.
Miller, who played college basketball at Alabama and was selected second overall by the Hornets in the 2023 Draft, becomes the new franchise player following the trade of LaMelo Ball this past summer.
Miller and his teammate Kon Knueppel will form the foundation of the Hornets’ new project, which has also added Naz Reid and extended Coby White this past summer.
Last season he played 65 official games (all as a starter) with his best averages in the NBA.
He averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and one steal, shooting 39% from three-point range.
