Bucks waive Kevin Porter Jr.

To the surprise of many, the Milwaukee Bucks have announced the release of guard Kevin Porter Jr., ESPN reported.

With less than 24 hours to go until the start of the 2026-27 regular season, the mercurial guard is left without a team, awaiting a last-minute call.

Porter Jr. was in the final year of a guaranteed contract worth $5.39 million.

Brought back by the Bucks after spells in Greece and with the Clippers, he has played 68 official games in a Bucks shirt, averaging 14.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game.
