Kawhi dazzles on his return to the Raptors

Seven years after making history in a Raptors shirt, Kawhi Leonard has returned to Toronto in style.

The Canadians’ new star stood out with 23 points, 6 rebounds and four steals as they beat the Chicago Bulls comfortably, 135-92.

He finished 6/17 from the field, including a perfect 11/11 from the free-throw line.

Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley each contributed 23 points, while R.J. Barrett finished with 20 points.

Between the four of them they scored 89 of the Canadians’ 135 total points.

For Tiago Splitter’s new-look Bulls, it was a game to forget, with 27 turnovers.

Rookie Caleb Wilson made his debut with 16 points, though he also committed 9 turnovers on his own.

Matas Buzelis was the visitors’ top performer with 17 points; another debutant, Norman Powell, added 15 points, and Jalen Smith chipped in another 15.

All in all, the Bulls’ firepower was completely damp, finishing 4/36 from three. Only the aforementioned Powell managed to score more than one.
