Andrew Bogut fractures a rib and his presence in the Playoffs is in danger

Not everything was happy last night for the Golden State Warriors. The Oakland franchise announced the injury of Andrew Bogut, who could miss the next Playoffs due to a fracture in his right rib.

Coach Mark Jackson admitted that the player will be out indefinitely and that they still cannot guarantee a specific date for his return to the courts.

«I have to be very careful because if it breaks. "I can puncture my lung and you'll see me in the hospital with a tube," Bogut explained.

The Australian explains that he felt severe pain in Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets, when Kenneth Faried elbowed him hard. The symptoms continued in the next crash before Los Angeles Lakers and on Sunday he admits that he had to inject himself with a strong painkiller to be able to wear shorts against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Bogut couldn't last and had to leave in the fourth quarter against the Blazers after receiving a heavy hit. The player admitted that he breathes with difficulty and that he cannot cough or sneeze normally, since he has severe pain in the area.

"It wasn't that bad until it finally broke," he explained. «I thought I was out of breath. I ended up going down to defend on the last possession. "I still don't know how I did it," he said.

Bogut has played a total of 67 regular season games this season with an average of 7,3 points, 10 rebounds, 1,7 assists and 1,8 blocks in 26,4 minutes of play.
