James Wiseman: "This feels like my rookie year"

James Wiseman's present in the NBA has changed radically with his transfer to the Detroit Pistons. If in Golden they couldn't find a way to make him play (and win), in the Michigan organization they have made room for him in their starting quintet so that he can show his qualities on the court while he grows.

Just about this new scenario in which he is moving, the former number 2 in the 2020 draft has been questioned, who has no problem admitting that he feels that his career is beginning now.

«This feels like my rookie year. From the number of games I have played, I can say that it is like that. I just have to go day by day. I can't be that hard on myself about anything, about trying to be good right now or about all those things that produce instant gratification. Sometimes those goals come to mind, but I have to see where I am and be realistic with myself. "It's going to take time," he tells Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Before being traded by the Warriors, Wiseman had played only 21 games this season to average 12,5 minutes per night. Already with the Pistons, he has played 20 games (18 as a starter) to clock 25,7 minutes per game and have 13,1 points and 8,5 rebounds.
