NBA round-up of the 10 games played on 30 October 2026

Washington Wizards 95–79 Charlotte Hornets

The evening began with a meeting between Eastern Conference play-off hopefuls. It was not the most brilliant game, but it showed us a very serious Wizards side, tough at times in defence; so much so that they broke the game open in the third quarter by conceding just 13 points.

Individually, Anthony Davis stood out again with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while the best thing about Trae Young is that he is not rushing, but letting games simply come to him; even so, 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists.

As for the North Carolina side, for the moment they depend too much on Brandon Miller, and his 7-of-24 from the field for 19 points was too heavy a burden.

Philadelphia 76ers 98-93 New York Knicks

Another head-to-head battle between two of the title favourites. The Sixers were without Jaylen Brown, but did not need him to dominate from start to almost finish, as with less than two minutes to go the Knicks managed to edge ahead with a Jalen Brunson three-pointer.

At the most difficult moment, drawing on the enormous experience of their key players, LeBron James stepped up to seal the victory (20 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists).

For the Big Apple side, the best were the aforementioned Brunson (24 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns, who closed out his performance with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Boston Celtics 125 – 111 Chicago Bulls

These Celtics don’t beat around the bush. Far from giving Chicago any chance, Jayson Tatum and company put up a 44-point first quarter that left the game all but decided.

With everything settled, both coaches used up to 14 players in the game, which did not stop the aforementioned Tatum from finishing with 26 points, or rookie Caleb Wilson from giving another sign of how much he can do for the Bulls with 23 points and 6 of 11 from three.

In reality, both are where they were expected to be. Boston have been in the upper reaches of the Eastern Conference from the start, while the Illinois side are preparing for a very long season.

Brooklyn Nets 94 – 110 Detroit Pistons

What is happening at Brooklyn hurts especially because they have a Spanish coach in Jordi Fernández, but it cannot be said to be a surprise.

Five games, five defeats and the feeling that they are almost always several steps behind their opponents. Hosting the Pistons, they had no chance of winning despite taking the first quarter. Going into the last they were already 25 points down…

Cade Cunningham led the Michigan side in scoring with 20 points, while the standout for the home side was Julius Randle with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Toronto Raptors 114 – 121 Orlando Magic

On to the reactions. Orlando started the campaign very badly, and not just because of losing a couple of games, but because the play was hard to stomach…

Now, with Paolo Banchero out injured, the Florida side have reacted to the point of winning two of their last three games, on the courts of the Knicks and the Raptors. It cannot be said to be a new story, as on other occasions we have seen an injury to one of their stars lift them.

Individually, Franz Wagner led his side with 28 points and 11 assists, while for the Canadians Scottie Barnes stood out with a magnificent 41-point game.

Miami Heat 145 – 125 Indiana Pacers

Another team picking themselves up after a start full of stumbles is Miami. Erik Spoelstra’s players seem much better coordinated with their great star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, which allowed them to run over a Pacers side far below expectations.

The Greek Freak recorded a triple-double of 31 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists, Klay Thompson went for 25 points with 7 three-pointers and Bam Adebayo contributed another 27. The clouds are lifting over Florida.

There is little to cheer about in Indianapolis. They have lost three in a row and last night were also without Tyrese Haliburton, who is struggling to find his physical form.

Dallas Mavericks 116 – 111 Houston Rockets

Another team on the rise, and how, is Dallas. Two defeats in the first three games could have made them doubt, but far from it, they have made clear they can be a great team with three straight wins, the latest wiping out the Rockets’ unbeaten record.

The Irving–Flagg pairing had their first great night together; so much so that if the point guard went for 35 points, the second-year player matched him with another 33. The decision to keep them together is working perfectly.

And in Houston? Well, 28 points from Kevin Durant and confirmation that without Alperen Sengun – which happened last night – everything gets complicated.

Minnesota Timberwolves 127 – 101 LA Clippers

With the absence of Anthony Edwards now absorbed, the Wolves are celebrating a win again after two tough nights. The truth is that the opponent was favourable, as the Clippers are very far from being competitive.

In that situation, Minnesota dominated every quarter to claim a comfortable win in which LaMelo Ball went for 24 points and Jaden McDaniels added another 23. Off the bench, Bones Hyland put 19 on the board.

On the Los Angeles side, Darius Garland continues to play well and this time finished with 24 points, but it is still far too little to translate into wins.

Phoenix Suns 120 – 127 Denver Nuggets

Denver have also reacted, but with caveats, as they have done so against weak opponents (and only just). In the early hours they visited Phoenix and only managed to win by a margin of seven points…

Something is not working for the Nuggets, and the great example is Nikola Jokic, who looks much more subdued than in previous campaigns. In Arizona he finished with 18 points while Jamal Murray went for 39 and Christian Braun added 31. For the Suns, the top scorer was Miles Bridges with 24.

Golden State Warriors 112 – 95 Los Angeles Lakers

To finish, we talk about the reaction of reactions. After starting 0-3 and being singled out as one of the worst teams in the 2026-27 NBA, the Warriors have roared back to win three nights in a row, the latest against the Lakers, and emphatically.

Stephen Curry is still in sweet form and showed it with 31 points and some spectacular plays against Luka Doncic. The Slovenian responded with 37 points, but this time lacked support. The Los Angeles side are a good team, but it remains to be seen whether they can compete against the best – they have lost two of their last three games.
