El draft 2012 está ya en marcha. La NBA ha hecho hoy pública la lista de 66 jugadores (49 procedentes de la NCAA y 17 de Europa) que han solicitado entrar en la próxima selección de novatos que han presentado su candidatura pese a estar por debajo de la edad de eligibilidad automática, es decir, nacidos antes de 1990.
La lista no ha deparado sorpresas, con cinco campeones de la liga universitaria de Kentucky, liderados por el gran candidato a número 1 del draft Anthony Davis, como jugadores más llamativos. La lista de jugadores europeos tendrá a dos jóvenes promesas procedentes de la Liga Endesa: el español Josep Franch y el checo Tomas Satoransky. Los jugadores que se han presentado podrán retirar sus candidaturas antes del 18 de junio, de cara a ser elegibles en próximas ediciones. El draft de 2012 se celebrará en Newark 10 días después, el 28 de junio.
